An amazing Island waterpark is definitely one of the best waterparks I have gone to! I love all the slides and the lazy river and wave pool. Besides that, Island Waterpark will be my next destination whenever I go back to North Myrtle Beach!

Introduction:

I love all the slides and the lazy river and wave pool. My only complaints are, the lady at the front counter overcharged me for a drink. My food was about 11 dollars for a combo and the drink was six dollars. I am not sure if it was because she put extra ice in it or not, but even if it is supposed to be that much, she should still say something before giving you your change and running away from you. I also got into the lazy river with my suit on because there were no signs telling me that people were not allowed in with clothes on.

The Slides:

 

There is a wide variety of slides at Island. The slides are arranged in such a way that you can ride them over and over again without getting bored.  water park in fresno My favorite slide is the red one, just because it’s so fast. It’s really exciting to get to the top and then go screaming down and twist around before finally going into the pool below. One thing I was disappointed about was that they don’t have any tube rides like other water parks do. I know that makes it more difficult, but with all these tall slides around, it seems like there would be plenty of room for them too.

The Lazy River:

I love the Lazy River because you can just lay back and relax while being pushed downstream. You can even have fun by trying to get off the lazy river and go back upstream, but that’s not recommended. The only problem with the Lazy River is that it’s hard to find a place for your stuff if you want to leave it on one of the benches. You have to be careful though, because somebody might come along and take your stuff!

The Wave Pool:

My favorite thing about Island water park is the wave pool. The wave pool is a really great way to beat the heat and just go with the flow. The wave pool is one of the nicest waves in town, and it’s also really shallow so you don’t have to worry about drowning. There are always lots of people playing on their surfboards and this makes it feel like a real surfing experience. If you’re not into surfing, there are also lots of lounge chairs around the edge where you can just take a rest or read a book and relax for awhile.
If you’ve never been to Island water park before, then I highly recommend checking it out because its one of the best waterparks in town!

Conclusion:

There is not much to say about this water park other than it is the best water park that I have gone to. The slides are so fun and the lazy river and wave pool are a lot of fun too. Honestly, my only complaints were the overpriced drink and expensive food combo. If you are looking for a place with good food and drinks, this is not the place for you because they are both pretty expensive but if you don’t care about that then it’s perfect!
